If I Should Die Tonight
If I should die tonight it would be like stepping out onto a big pond’s lily pads with all the other frogs combing out…
Talk to your body
talk to your soul
Talk to the thunder on the hill
Talk to God’s world in
which we dwell
the day in tumult
the night that’s still
Talk to creatures that
cross your path
lambs of peace
Tygers of wrath
The door that’s shut
the door that’s open
If we talk to God’s world
we talk to God
Who’s the only One Who
makes things happen
They say one went mad
talking to roses
but in their beauty
saw God’s responses
The sunset pouring its
gold in the sky
filled his heart
as it filled his eye
and as he talked to the
air around him
The Friend found him
