gone a remove while fasting
as if through a kind of glazed window just
out of reach
which is where they always are though we
clutch their ghosts to us in a
curious waltz and
hope for the best
Ramadan casts its star-like
light making things stand out in
sharp relief from an
even starrier background
releasing us in His Mercy from their
clankier chains
